Content: In July, the World Games was held in Kaohsiung which is a sunny and beautiful city in Taiwan. Linda and I went to the new arena to cheer our teams. On that day, the most unforgettable game is the sumo. We just saw two heavy-weight guys strive very hard to win the game. it was a really exciting experience for me. I have to say, "I enjoyed the World Game very much. And, most importantly, I am proud of Taiwan."


Candy's questions: How can I address the two "mascots" in the first picture? Do they have names?

The two mascots are called Gao Mei and Syong Ge, and their names are extension of the word Kaohsiung.

Moon festival is coming next Saturday. My friends and I planned to eat barbecue on that day. We haven’t met each other since we graduated from elementary school. In order to have more time for chatting, after having dinner, we will go to Love River because there is a firework show at that night. I just can’t wait to see the beautiful fireworks. By the way, my mom had bought some delicious moon cakes which have different flavors, and I especially like the ice cream flavor. I think I’ll have a great time with my friends and family members for sure.

About three months ago, a newly emerged disease called H1N1 was a threat to people in America. Due to the rise of fatality, scientists and doctors tired hard to find cure for patients. Unfortunately, the virus is so infective, and the drugs couldn't kill the virus efficiently. The virus now is a threat to everyone on the earth.

For the sake of saving their own life, people started to wear mask in order to protect themselves from being infected. Especially for kids, they have to wear a mask all the time if they find themselves or others having a cough. Patients who are in serious conditions have to be quarantined, and their family and friends who bring flowers to visit them can only see them through a thick glass.

We all hope those patients who are in sericous conditions can recover soon.
